Blog

Last week, I joined my friend and former client, Kate Solovieva as she enters the wide world of podcasts with her own fresh take: The Operation SuperCoach project.

I know that starting something new is rarely easy or comfortable, so I was really excited when she asked me to come on and chat.

We chatted about my background, what I consider my “superpower” to be, what makes a good coach, advice for new coaches and I shared one of my own personal experiences with coaching that had nothing to do with fitness.

You can listen to the full episode via the link here.

It’s here, it’s here!

For more information on the program, keep reading:

With this program, you will get 3, 4 week phases for a total of 12 weeks of training. The program is structured in a way so that each phase builds on the previous one, which means that you will get stronger and improve your conditioning while your kettlebell skills improve throughout the program.

You can run the program through the Hynes Performance app or you can download and print a PDF of the program to use offline.

Swipe right to see what one of the program days looks like in the app.

Each phase of the program comes with exercise demos and instructions for each day so you’ll know what you are doing with your Kettlebells AND how to do it to get the most out of each phase.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

For this program you will need access to one “light” kettlebell and one “heavy” kettlebell.

For reference, here’s how we would classify those two weights:

Light Kettlebell: (8 – 12kg) – For Squats, Presses, Swings and Turkish Get ups.

Heavy Kettlebell: (16 – 24kg) – For Deadlifts, Swings and Squats

If you are looking to pick up some Kettlebells, we highly recommend our supplier at Great Lakes Girya.

In addition to Kettlebells, they have a variety of high quality strength training equipment.

Use our code “HYNES10” for 10% off your entire order.

Now we just have two questions:

Do you have those Kettlebells laying around?

Let’s do this! đź’Ş

Get a new training program delivered automatically via the Hynes Performance app every month with the Train with Paul subscription-based service!

Due to COVID-19 and physical distancing practices, the “Train with Paul” service will offer 3-day body-weight workouts along with a parallel 4-day home-based version that requires a combination of resistance bands, dumbbells, and body-weight for individuals that have equipment at home. We will continue this format for as long as is necessary.

Paul’s training program is updated monthly and comes complete with linked exercise demos and instructions for each day. This is a great option for trainees of all fitness levels, regardless if you are someone that has experience in the weight room and would like a structured program that varies month to month, OR you are a beginner that needs a structured program that can scale to match your abilities.

For form-checks, exercise modifications, support and community interaction with this service you will have access to our private Facebook group, where you’ll be able to connect with other “Train with Paul” subscribers. There you can ask questions and get feedback from Coach Paul and your peers.

Upon purchase, you’ll receive access to the Hynes Performance app where you can find your program.

New programs are automatically available on the first day of the month. Eg: The August program will be available on August 1st.

We look forward to having you join us! For more information on the program, check out the service page here.

Do you ever feel like you are being sent from one health professional to another without ever getting any answers?

Then this interview is for you!

We’ve been meaning to film this for awhile. In this interview, Kate Solovieva dive into all of those topics and so much more as we discuss her experience with an injured and painful shoulder that she had tried *EVERYTHING* to fix, her frustration with the traditional rehab process and how she got back to doing what she loves without pain or restriction.

If you or someone you know is dealing with pain or an injury right now, this video is for you.

Comments and questions are welcome and encouraged.

Thanks again to Kate for being so great to talk to and work with (And for providing a great video thumbnail!)
